Tide Design is a unique, high quality, handmade furniture design company. When they wanted to extend their workshop in Huntingdale, Vic to include a showroom and retail space they called on the talented interior architect Mairead Murphy of Maike Design Studio. She created for them, a clean bright space incorporating aspects of the original warehouse's architecture, with a series of mini stages for groupings of furniture, to allow clients to get a sense of how Tides pieces could look in their home.
Impala & Peacock is a specialty tea house on Sydney rd, Brunswick. They source their single estate teas form traditional farmers across the globe and create their own blends in house. I recently shot some of their beautiful products for their new website.
I have a strong interest in still life and product photography. Arranging the set up and directing the light in a way to capture the product in a creative and attractive way, gives me great satisfaction.
Being a tourist in a foreign land can have its charms and traps. When I travel I often find myself watching the other tourists, the way they interact with each other and the attraction of the day, is fascinating to me. Sometimes it's not the location but the people around you who can make your day.
Take a seat

These empty spaces have a personality of their own. I like to explore and draw them out with my environmental portraits.
Life is Backpacking
Backpacking is a way of travelling that's full of surprises and discovery. At the end of most days you'll find yourself cautiously wandering down poorly lit back streets, desperately searching for that elusive, good cheap meal, well, any meal. And a comfy place to sit.
Blue is my favourite colour, but I always seem to be drawn natures "greens" in my photography.
They're Alpacas, not Llamas.
My mother has an Alpaca farm, or stud, as they're called. They have somewhere in the vicinity of over 60 Alpacas but when I last asked, she said she'd lost count.
It's on a beautiful piece of land in central Victoria called Glenaroua. Where, from the top of their little hill, you can witness some of the most beautiful sunsets every night.
What's the best way to make you feel like you've been on a holiday when you have limited time and a budget? Take a road trip.
When the weather is doing its thing, I chuck my camera in my little red car and see what I can find.
